Dr. Benjamin Merrill
Executive Director / Principal
Dr. Merrill began his career in education in 2001. He earned his Bachelor's degree in History Secondary Education at Boise State University, a Master's degree in Education Administration at Capella University, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University. Dr. Merrill has served as a teacher, coach, school principal, district superintendent, and college dean during his career. He enjoys spending time with his wife Nanette, son Kellen, and daughter Kaylee at their cabin in Oregon. An avid reader, he most enjoys the works of John Grisham and encourages a love of reading among students.
Carie Staub
CTE Administrator
Mrs. Staub began her career in 1994 as a head athletic trainer, assistant athletic director and credentialed health & PE teacher. After joining MMACHS in 2007, she taught a variety of Health Science and Rehab Services courses before becoming the CTE Administrator in 2022. Mrs. Staub earned her Masters of Health Science degree from BSU in 2015. In her spare time, she loves thrift shopping with her daughter, laughing with her husband, chasing her dog and 6 chickens around the yard, and reading Brene Brown.

Melissa Bishop
School Counselor
Ms. Bishop has been at MMACHS as the school counselor since the fall of 2014. As the school counselor her focus is supporting students in all aspects of their educational journey at Meridian Medical Arts Charter High School. This includes: social emotional learning, academic advising, and college career counseling. She is also the drug and alcohol prevention counselor, the testing coordinator for PSAT/SAT/ISAT, the registrar, the Section 504 Coordinator, the Online class coordinator, and Advanced Opportunities coordinator. On the weekends, she can be found in the mountains and will always stop to pet a dog.

Stefanie Hofstetter
School Secretary
Mrs. Hofstetter has been at MMACHS since the fall of 2014. Before coming to Idaho, she lived in Arizona for 10 years, where she was the Director of the Goddard School for 5 years. She is our school Secretary, Clerk of the Board, HOSA travel agent, field trip planner and do-er of all things. Stefanie enjoys getting to know the students and their families at MMACHS. If you need a hug or Ibuprofen, come, see her in the office. She enjoys traveling, being on the beach, watching her kids play sports and relaxing in the pool with her husband Matt, son Barrett and daughter Victoria.
Kerri Clemens
ASL Interpretor
Mrs. Clemens began work at MMACHS in the fall of 2023 as the school's ASL interpreter.
Becky Smith
Assistant Secretary - Attendance
Mrs. Smith has been at MMACHS since 2005 and still enjoys every minute of her day. Mrs. Smith is our Attendance Secretary, in-house substitute, and all-around gopher. She enjoys putting together a bulletin board each month to spotlight our students and all we do here at MMACHS. Mrs. Smith can be found in the halls at lunch just hanging out with kids and having a good time. When not at MMACHS, you can find her spending time with her family, hiking, traveling, and getting dirty riding ATV’s.
