Two MMACHS students, competing for their respective home high schools, shone at the 6A Idaho State Swimming Championships last Saturday at the Boise YMCA Aquatic Center.
Keegan Near, a senior at MMACHS who swims for Rocky Mountain High, captured first place in the 100-yard freestyle this year, an exciting achievement following her second-place finish in the event last season. She also earned second place in the 100-yard backstroke, capping off her high school swimming career with exceptional results. Keegan will be competing at the NCAA Division 1 level next year.
Freshman Abigail Roberson, representing Eagle High, made an impressive championship debut. Competing in the 200-yard freestyle relay, Abigail and her team secured third place, demonstrating Roberson's potential as a new talent in Idaho high school swimming.
The MMACHS community celebrates Keegan and Abi for their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing their continued success!
