Meridian Medical Arts Charter High School is pleased to announce that Senior Bekir Swidan has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist. The National Merit Scholarship Program considered 1.3 million high school juniors for the award based on their performance on the PSAT last spring, and only 16,000 (less than 1%) were given semi-finalist status. Bekir's accomplishment qualifies him to be considered for National Merit Finalist status, which will be announced in February of 2024.
Principal Dawnetta Earnest was thrilled with the news regarding Bekir's success.
"Bekir is a model student at MMACHS. He strives for excellence with his academics and is a very kind young man. We are so proud of him. He will represent MMACHCS well in all his future endeavors."
We wish Bekir the best of luck in his National Merit Scholarship journey.
